Registering Multiple Instances
You can install multiple instances of APIS Hive. This is convenient: when running unrelated configurations on the same server; if you want to increase stability when interacting with unstable software components; to allow for different DCOM security configuration on different instances to reduce access; and more.
You can use the "Tools" menu in APIS Buddy or the Command Line to register new instances.
DCOM security
The named instance needs to have its DCOM security setting set, the same as any default APIS Hive instance. The name of the instance will appear in the DCOM Configuration utility, just like any other DCOM server. See DCOM Configuration.
