Write Item Properties
Item type for writing scalar values to the database.
The Write item item type has the following properties:
Name | Description | ID | Flags |
---|---|---|---|
InitValueEnabled | Whether this item has an initial value on start up of Apis Hive. If enabled, this allows for the setting of a value so the initial value isn't blank or null on each restart. | Persisted | |
Item type | A field indicating what type of item this is. This is always set to "Write item" for Write Items. | 5801 | ReadOnly |
Name | The name of this item. This is independent of the name of the item from SQL server (see the SrcItemID property). | 100 | Persisted |
Quality | Item quality - this tells you whether an item currently has a good or bad quality. It might be bad, for example, because it isn't connected or is set to the wrong type. | 3 | ReadOnly |
Rights | Item access rights - this property may be "read", or "read write". This means that the property may only be read from, or also can be written to. For OPC items, this written value will be passed on to the external items this item comes from. | 5 | ReadOnly |
SrcItemID | The item ID in the source. This is the item ID this item uses to fetch data from the source. | 5030 | Persisted |
Time | The date and time when this item was last updated. | 4 | ReadOnly |
Type | The item canonical data type - the specific type of this item. Whether it's an integer, string, date, etc. | 1 | ReadOnly |
Value | The current value of the item. | 2 | ReadOnly |
Valuetype | Item canonical datatype. The type of value this field contains. For example, string, int, datetime, etc. | 10031 | Persisted, Enumerated |
WriteUpdatedOnly | This field is set to true by default, and means that values will only be sent to SQL Server if the value has changed since the last time the command was run. If the value has no changed, it will be omitted from the list of parameters in the XML to SQL Server. | 11000 | Persisted |
