How to Restore
Access the service "apis://localhost" from Apis Managment Studio and navigate to the "Recovery" node.
Restore
Right click on a Backup Set found under the "Backup set" node and select "Restore". From the Restore view, follow the steps below:
Select the services you wish to restore. Only services that are included in the backup set can be selected.
You can specify if configuration and/or history data should be restored.
If you have selected the Hive service option, you must specify which Hive instance that should be restored. Only one Hive instance can be selected per restore job.
-
Wipe Hive instance
Optionally Wipe the target Hive instance. If selected, any configuration for the selected target Hive instance will be removed.
-
Change Overridable values
Optionally change Overridable Values if restoring in a new environment.
Run the restore job
Click on the "Run Restore" button to start the restore job.
You are only allowed to run a restore job if the option combination is valid. The option combination is validated against the Backup set content.
Any warnings or errors returned from the restore job will show up in the Information part.
If restoring several Hive instance configurations and Honeystore data, it is best practice to restore Honeystore data first, then the Hive instance configurations.
The selected services will be restarted when executing the restore job.
When restoring data, the Apis Honeystore and Apis Chronical EventServer databases on the target machine will be replaced with content from the Backup set.
