Address Space Crawling
Address space crawling is the process of replicating foreign namespaces from one or more remote UA servers. Crawling is configured and initiated by right-clicking on a Orchestrator in the Solution Explorer in AMS, and choosing Address Space Crawling in the popup.
This will open the Crawling configuration view:
The current status of the Crawler is shown in the Crawler status field.
Start the Crawler manually by pressing the Start crawler button. An ongoing crawl can be stopped by pressing the Stop crawler button.
Each crawl will result in a model set. The number of sets is limited to the 'Crawler results store size' property of the Orchestrator. All Crawler model sets are visible in the Crawler model sets table:
Column Name | Explanation |
---|---|
Available model sets | Name of model set |
Started | Date and time when the crawl started |
Finished | Date and time when the crawl finished |
Initiated | How the crawl was initiated, manually or on schedule |
Status | Status of crawler result. If errors exist, select the model set to see the errors in the Crawler set content table |
To delete a model set, select the model set in the table and press the Delete button.
Press the Refresh button to update the content of the table.
The Crawler set content table will show the selected namepaces for the crawl and any error messages:
Column Name | Explanation |
---|---|
Source URI | Namepaces in this crawl |
Validation error | If the crawl result has errors, an error summary is shown here |
Error/Warning log file | If the crawl result has error, a detailed log file can be found at this location |
See Namespace Proxy Models for how to load the crawled model into the aggregating server.
