Migrate 32-bit Apis Hive configuration to 64-bit

Apis Hive has been available in both a 32-bit and a 64-bit versions. The current version only support 64-bit. The 64-bit version contains fewer modules than the 32-bit version, but modules are continuously converted to 64-bit.

A configuration created by a 32-bit version of Apis Hive may at YOUR OWN RISK be manually migrated to a 64-bit.

WARNING: Check that all 32-bit modules in your configuration are supported by the 64-bit version before attempting to migrate!

  • Back up your configuration.

  • Manually copy 32-bit Apis Hive instance registry configuration content from :

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Prediktor\Apis\<INSTANCENAME>

    to:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Prediktor\Apis\<INSTANCENAME>

  • Remove 32-bit Apis Hive instances with use of Apis Management Studio or command line

  • Uninstall the 32-bit Apis Hive version.

  • Remove 32-bit Apis Hive instance registry configuration content from:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Prediktor\Apis\<INSTANCENAME>

  • Install the 64-bit Apis Hive version.

  • Add 64-bit Apis Hive instances with use of Apis Management Studio or command line

  • Set the desired DCOM and Windows service settings for the 64-bit Apis Hive instances.
