How to Backup

Access the service "apis://localhost" from Apis Management Studio and navigate to the "Recovery" node.

Backup

Right click on the "Backup sets" node and select "Backup" from the menu. From the Backup view, follow the steps below:

Select a backup root folder or optionally specify a full path for a Backup Set. If you select a backup root folder, the full path to the backup set will be generated.

Select the services you wish to back up. The following services are supported:

Apis Hive, Apis Chronical, Apis Honeystore and Apis OPC UA Namespace Server .

You can specify if configuration and/or history data should be included in the backup.

You can specify which Hive instance that should be included in the backup. Option "*" means all Hive instances found on the machine.

Click on the "Run backup" button to start a backup job.

You are only allowed to run a backup job if the option combination is valid.

Any warnings or errors returned from the backup job will show up in the Information part.

A backup set will appear under the "backup set" node when the backup job is finished executing.

Schedule Backup

Right click on the "Scheduled Backup" node and select "Scheduled Backup" from the menu. From the Scheduled Backups view, follow the steps below:

Select the services you wish to back up. The following services are supported:

Apis Hive, Apis Chronical, Apis Honeystore and Apis OPC UA Namespace Server .

You can specify if configuration and/or history data should be included in the Backup set.

You can specify which Hive instance that should be included in the backup. Option "*" means all Hive instances found on the machine.

The following schedules are supported:

One time, Hourly, Daily, Weekly, Monthly and custom Cron expression.

Specify date time settings according to the schedule.

Click on the "Add Schedule Backup" button to add the backup job.

The Apis Backup Agent will back up configurations for both running and stopped Apis services .
